Can a person with arthritis do the exercises?

People with arthritis or other painful conditions of the upper spine should not do the exercises without first consulting a physician.

Head, neck and upper body flexion and rotation are required in order to do the exercises correctly and stimulate the semicircular canals in each ear, . The Barany chair as used by the USAF and some special laboratories would provide a means to accomplish habituation. However, its use for the general public is quite limited. Specific kinds of visual stimuli may also be useful to produce habituation. And there is always hanging in there and repeating the offending activity until you get habituated (not very much fun).
