About the PUMA METHOD to Prevent Motion Sickness
The PUMA METHOD consists of a series of simple yet very effective warm-up and conditioning exercises.
These exercises raise your tolerance level to a variety of motion sickness producing activities such as reading in a moving vehicle, riding in a small boat or cruise ship, or flying in an airplane. This process is called habituation.
The PUMA METHOD is available on interactive DVD or by download from this site. The entire conditioning exercise program is described and demonstrated for you. In addition, Dr. Puma explains the causes of motion sickness so you will understand why you experience it and how the PUMA METHOD enables you to prevent it.
With your video you will receive a booklet to log your daily exercises and track your progress. This will remind you of the order in which the exercises are done and also help you see how quickly you are becoming conditioned.
The PUMA METHOD is completely natural.
The exercises use your body’s own habituation mechanism to prevent motion sickness. You don’t need any drugs, so there are no negative side effects.
The benefits of the PUMA METHOD are available to anyone suffering from common motion sickness who is willing and able to follow the simple exercise instructions.
To do the exercises correctly, you should have average mobility of the head, neck and upper body. Be sure to check with your heath care provider, however, to make sure there are no medical conditions that are causing your motion sickness or that would prevent you from doing the exercises safely.
The PUMA METHOD exercises take only about 15 minutes per day.
Positive results, that is conditioning, may be seen in as little as one week.
Once the conditioning is achieved, it never totally goes away. Your tolerance level to certain motions may diminish, however, if you have not experienced them in a while. If this happens, all you need is a few days of the Puma Method to boost your conditioning to its original level. Your body “remembers” this previous conditioning level.
