What is habituation?

Habituation is a process whereby a person becomes used to a stimulus.

A good example is in the use of perfume or cologne. When we first apply it we can detect the scent, however, in a short while we no longer can. In order to smell it again we must increase the stimulation to the sensors in the nose by applying it once more. Using the same principle of habituation, the PUMA METHOD exercises gradually increase stimulation to the visual and balance sensors over time until the body no longer is overwhelmed by them. We know you may have some questions before placing your order for the PUMA METHOD video, so we created this list of Frequently Asked Questions to help you get answers.
